Military Working Dog Service Awards - USWDA, Chapter 1

2014 MILITARY WORKING DOG AWARDS AND CITATION UPDATE
The US War Dogs Association gives its own MWD Service Medal and Award, but the only award officially given to Military Working Dogs by the Department of Defense is the Meritorious Award. Occasionally an award will be given to a dog on a unit level by a Platoon Leader or a Company Commander, but unfortunately it is not recognized by the headquarters of that service branch or by the Department of Defense.
